Director of Special Projects and Strategic Initiatives

Matt has a passion for public service and helping others. At AHCI, his role enables him to help others in their behavioral health recovery. His professional journey has included both direct support to people in the community, as well as developing and improving the complex organizational and information systems that are needed to efficiently and effectively deliver the services that help people in need.

Today, Matt’s interests lie in improving systems of care in human services, including the overlap of these services with the criminal justice system. In addition to supporting HealthChoices operations, Matt also leads program development, technology, and strategic planning initiatives. Further, as a certified trainer in Mental Health First Aid, Matt is dedicated to improving community awareness of mental illness for both adults and youth.

Matt is a graduate from the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University, served as a management consultant with Deloitte Consulting’s public sector practice, and is an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America.

Out of the office, Matt enjoys spending time outdoors, running, and coaching youth sports.
