Kelly Burda

Manager of Program Consultation

Kelly believes that her degree in Occupational Therapy was the foundation of her unwavering belief in helping others achieve independence. Her behavioral health background includes 11 years as a Clinician and Administrator for both Mayview State Hospital and Torrance State Hospital. Kelly had the privilege of helping hundreds of individuals’ transition back into the community when Mayview closed in 2008. It was after that experience that Kelly decided that she wanted her next job to afford her the ability to make a positive impact by continuing to help individuals live their lives in the community. Through her position at AHCI, she is able to reach this goal, and she now focuses on providing consultation and technical assistance to Community Treatment Teams that directly support individuals on their recovery journey. Kelly also provides training in the following Evidence-Based Practices: Motivational Interviewing, Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment, and Assertive Community Treatment. Kelly is a Member of Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT).
